Scholarships for Students
At the Scholarship Reception on May 15th, the Marshfield Area Community Foundation awarded about $60,000 in scholarship grants to over 60 individuals. For perspective, the Foundation's first scholarship was awarded in 1997. The following year, we presented four. In 1999 there were fourteen.
We are very proud of the individuals, businesses, organizations, and families who have stepped forward to provide this wonderful demonstration of faith in our young people and belief in the importance of education.
We are also very proud of the young people who were awarded the scholarships. Their comments during the reception were insightful, sincere, amusing, and often moving. We wish them all the best in their educational endeavors.
